Shane has worked as a corporate lawyer at several large law firms in New York City and Denver, where he was trained by some of the best lawyers around. He also spent two years as co-founder of a fin-tech startup, so he knows what it’s like to own and operate a business. Working for sweat equity, raising capital, stressing over meeting payroll, even receiving legal bills – he’s been there. This experience from both sides of the table gives Shane a unique perspective on being a lawyer. He finds representing and advising entrepreneurs and small-business owners to be the best of both worlds.
Shane received his JD, cum laude, from Harvard Law School (2006), and his BA, with distinction, from the University of Virginia (2003), where he studied Government and Philosophy.
Shane spends as much time as he can in the mountains, where he loves to ski, backpack, trail run, and hike. His wife is a better skier than he is. (She’s probably better than you too). He also enjoys road biking, hunting, and attending concerts.
Shane is addicted to Spotify, and he’s not above hijacking the soundtrack to social gatherings. He’s also a gear junkie – don’t get him started on the tech specs of outdoor equipment.
